Personal biography Athrai Hangpang is a small village in Nepal’s remote Taplejung region. Nawa Raj Subba began his life’s adventure in 1961. He tied the knot in 1983, and he and his wife have two sons. After devoting himself to his studies, he graduated with a Ph.D. in health psychology, an MPH in public health, and an MA in Nepali literature and culture from Nepal’s Tribhuvan University. After devoting more than 30 years of his life to the Ministry of Health, he retired in 2014 after a distinguished career serving in District Public Health Offices, including Morang and Jhapa.
