Mrs. Hiramaya Basnet of Babiyabirta ward No 4 Morang, a local Female Community Health Volunteer (FCHV) succeeds to build a cottage for PHC-Out Reach Clinic in her ward. She is happy to say that now it is comfortable for children and mothers to get health service who live far from Health Post. Children will get vaccination and mothers will have ANC, PNC check ups and Family Planning services once a month. District Public Health Officer Nawaraj Subba has inaugurated the clinic in a ceremony. Representatives from supporting partners BNMT, NFHP and incharges from Health Post, Sub Health Post and villagers were presented on the occasion. Total Rs. 200,000.00 has been expended to build the Clinic. Local VDC, DDC, BNMT, HFHP and local villagers have made their contribution by providing land and cash in support.

Dr. Nawa Raj Subba is a public health specialist who has more than three and a half decades of experience working in public healthcare management at the Ministry of Health and Population in Nepal. In the spirit of public-private partnerships to expand access to health care in rural communities in Eastern Nepal, he played a vital role in leading operational research. He has also independently researched public health and intercultural psychology in Nepal. He published his works in books and journals. Nepali literature, culture, and music recognized him as an author. He has written artistic and cultural texts and CDs. His work has been acknowledged and appreciated by civil society, the government of Nepal, and abroad. He is now involved in Public Health and Intercultural Psychology studies in Nepal.
