Surveillance of Avian Influenza
22 January 2009, Jhapa Nepal, More than 27000 chickens, ducks and pigeons have been killed and culled by Rapid Response Team in Kakarvitta Jhapa Nepal.
Surveillance of human bird flue has been started in the affected area. Households will be visited for suspected Influenza Like Illness (ILI) cases. Surveillance team has found a ILI case Gita Thapa from Dhulabari and kept under isolation and treatment in Mechi Zonal Hospital. Now her condition is normal.

An orientation on food hygiene to hotel owners
September 25, 2010. Biratnagar. An orientation on food hygiene to small and middle level hotel owners has been conducted in Biratnagar. 56 hotels owners were participated in the orientation program.
Basra tole Open Defecation Free zone
Oct 6, 2010. Biratnagr 5 Basra tole has been declared as open defecation free zone today in a ceremony. Basra tole is situated nearby Biratnagar airport. Government officials from Biratnagar sub-metropolitan city, District Public Health Office Morang, and people from Civil forum, Samyukta Tole Sangathan, Lomanti were present on the occasion.
