पुराना जुत्ताहरू
– नवराज सुब्बा

आज
मसँग गफ मिल्ने
अर्थात् मलाई बुझ्ने यो घरमा
मेरा यिनै पुराना जुत्ताहरू मात्र
बाँकीरहे अब !
तर यी पुराना जुत्ताहरू
कहिले यो कुना कहिले त्यो कुनामा राख्छु र मिलाउँछु
कहिले यता सार्छु, कहिले उता सार्छु र थन्क्याउँछु
यिनीहरूलाई राख्ने, थन्क्याउने ठाउँ कतै पुग्दैन
भण्डारमा अरूहरूलाई ठाउँ पुगेको छैन
भ¥याङको कुना पनि अब यिनको भएन
सबै ठाउँ छोरा, नातिका सुत्ने कोठा,
पढ्ने कोठा र बैठकमा बद्लिएको छ घर
राख्ने ठाउँ कुना कतै पुगेन
यी पुराना जुत्ताहरूलाई अब
यो घरमा
काम नलाग्ने थोत्रा राख्न सुहाउँदैन भन्न थालियो
तर यिनलाई फालिहाल्न पनि माया लाग्छ
सम्झन्छु,
कुनै बेला यिनै जुत्ता मेरा पाइलाहरू थिए
जसले मेरा दुःख सुखमा साथ दिएका थिए
घामपानी, सफलता, विफलतामा पनि सँगै थिए
यही घरमा कुनै समय यिनै जुत्ताहरू
हातले मोल्दै टल्काइन्थ्यो र लगाइन्थ्यो सानले
यात्राको पहिलो र अन्तिम छाप लगाउने यिनै हुन्थे
आज त्यही घरमा
पुराना भएपछि यिनको बस्ने ठाउँ गुमेको छ
सुरक्षित हुने अधिकार पनि खोसिएको छ
अब नसुहाउने भएका छन् रे
यी पुराना जुत्ताहरू
मेरो जीवन जस्तै ।

फाटेका जुत्ताहरूलाई
आफ्नो वरिपरि राखेर
अन्तिमपटक आज सुम्सुम्याउँदैछु
त्यो जुत्ता म बेहुला हँुदा लगाएको जुत्ता हो
ऊ त्यो चाहिँ बेहुलाको बाबु हुँदा लगाएको जुत्ता हो
अनि यो जुत्ता चाहिँ हजुरबुबा हँुदा लगाएको जुत्ता हो
आज एकैठाउँ पोको परेर फाल्नअघि
यी जुत्ता र आफूलाई एकसाथ सुम्सुम्याउँदैछु
फाल्नअघि घोरिन्छु र सुन्छु
जुत्ताहरू एक स्वरमा भनिरहेछन्—
घरको कुनामा बसेर
आफ्नैसित कति गुनासा गर्छौ स्वामी !
व्यर्थ नखसाऊ आँखाको पानी
बरु हिँड जाऊँ ! कतै
आखिर, तिम्रो नियति पनि
हाम्रै जस्तै भएको छ
यो घरमा ।
